Sue's apron and a black and red bag

It's so nice this time of year . On Air Con. or heat needed. Over the week end I did a apron for my DS Sue. I hope she likes it . She loves pink . The print fabric has shades of pink but I pulled the blues out with the buttons. I didn't have pink buttons.
I made this shoulder bag a little larger than the others . I had this quilt block left over from a quilt I made years ago. it was time to give it a home. The quilt I made went to Waco, TX. A few years ago.
My DGD Kristin went for a internship  there for a month 2 Summers ago. She stayed with a lady there and it was a thank you gift to her for housing Kristin while there. The bag is 9" X 11". A nice size for shopping. Not to heavy. It will hold billfold and keys and what you need while shopping.

Thread catcher for DD Jennie

Last night I made DD Jennie a thread catcher. She embroidered the pin c. top so I found some pink and a print I had and made her. I hope she likes it as much as I like mine .

Sister Donna's Birthday gifts and bags for craft show's.

My DS Donna's birthday is Oct. 2 so I made her a few things. She is a sewer of  clothing for things they participate in. I made her a thread catcher, a pin c., and apron. I love the batiks I used in the TC. I all most kept it for me! But Donna's color is blue where mine is green.

DD Jennie and I have been working on shoulder bags for craft shows. These are bright and for the younger people  or the young at heart! The flip flop bag is my favorite one.

Good Sat. afternoon project

I got this pattern from Moda Bake Shop. I have been going to do it for some time.
Today was a good day for it! The weather is cool and it's very quiet here in town . Just a lazy afternoon. DD Jennie gave me some 5" sqs.  So I used them I love blue and green together, with a touch of purple. Moda Bake Shop  has lots of good how to ideas. So check it out some time.
